The New Homes Expo is an annual in-house trade show for the local real estate brokerage community to network and learn about new homes, products and emerging industry trends hosted by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Raleigh and Wake County. This year the event was held at the PNC Arena on Aug. 13, and we at Terramor Homes had a booth to help spread the word about our charity involvement and participation in the construction of the Miracle Home.
Because the Miracle Home benefits the Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Care Center, we wanted to do something for those patients at our booth. To that end, we created large sympathy cards for the children so that everyone at the expo could sign and write messages, We plan to personally deliver these cards when we visit the hospital on Thursday, Sept. 5 for a tour. Everyone who visited our booth wanted to participate in this activity and send the kids their well wishes, thoughts and prayers.
Additionally, we handed out Miracle Home banks filled with gumballs with a note about our upcoming Miracle Home Luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 5. People who received these banks are encouraged to fill them up and donate the proceeds to the Miracle Home charity.
The expo was a great networking opportunity for all members of the Wake HBA, and we love sharing our news with others while also learning about what other members are doing to help the real estate community here in the Triangle. We appreciate having more than 300 people visit our booth, and we were glad to share our Miracle Home charity with each visitor!
