Bedford also has four playgrounds to choose from, which often leaves kids with the difficult decision of picking where to play with their friends. The Recreation Center’s “Central Park” is a community favorite, with swings and slides, a merry-go-round and a mini rock wall. With so many playgrounds to choose from, kids can slide, climb, run, jump, or hang to their heart’s content.

There are so many things to offer all ages at Bedford’s Recreation Center. The 3500 square foot clubhouse provides a warm, friendly atmosphere for a variety of neighborhood and private get-togethers, parties and meetings. Two different areas with plush seating offer digital cable TV with VCRs and DVD players. A premier surround sound system provides musical entertainment both in the clubhouse, as well as around the pool. And for those adults who just can’t get away from work, the entire area offers WiFi wireless technology for computers with a wireless networking card.
On the outside, the Recreation Center is host to a variety of competitive games, with a sand volleyball court, tennis courts and a basketball court. The Recreation Center also offers two pools–a competition sized pool for the serious swimmers and another pool loaded with tumble buckets, misters and raindrop umbrellas. Kids also live Mt. Gushmore, the 110-foot long, 15-foot high mountainous waterslide.
